STAYING IN TUNE WITH ROUTE69 PRODUCTIONS https://www.facebook.com/Route69-Productions-264289367414474 another fabulous showcase by Route69 Productions. John Ward & Heather Brett-Roper strive to please the all ages audiences at The Rockpile with inspiring presentations.
December 2nd, 2017 was another stellar show, featuring Toronto’s hard driving Demolition Rage. They brought their unique flavor to the stage, warming up the room while diving deep into their plethora of hits from their fortress of 2 original albums Murder by Numbers and No Room For Silence. They entertained with crowd favorites Jack of Shadows, Take It Standing Up and Two Faced Smile just to name a few. Their intense sound melded modern metal into traditional art. Their progressive climb from a thrash metal dexterity to metamorphic metal is due to a new melodic vocal direction from frontman George Petkovski, who ranges from a guttural baritone tessitura into a high and dramatic stratospheric experience. They are a heavy guitar sound with electrifying chemistry. Their incredible heavy grind from their bottom end drummer and bassist gives them a seasoned taste to that of Five Finger Death Punch meets Iron Maiden meets a commercialized metal sound of classic Pantera. Guitar riffs in Crystal Drink, (the bands only instrumental piece) shows how expansive and trailblazing their sound is. I do hear an extremely heavy Megadeth, Judiest Priest influence with a dash of Steve Vai with a South of Heaven feel by Slayer in their masterpieces. Listening carefully I actually felt a Led Zepplin whisper and a slight Boston rock sense too. Demolition Rage covers the best version of Rainbow I have ever heard, sure brings out the definite connection with DIO in George’s vocalist gifts. They are working on their 3rd album, and performing on the March 10th COLD ETHYL Alice Cooper Tribute show at Rockpile (a Route69 Production Presentation).
