|2020 was a big year for Sacha’s country music career, and 2021 looks like it’s going to be even bigger!|
The Ontario singer-songwriter released her “The Best Thing” EP in July last year, with her single Standards approaching 400,000 streams on Spotify and picking up adds on country radio stations. It has landed on great playlists, picked up great reviews and recommendations, and cracked the Top 50 on the charts, with momentum for more.
But, the biggest news right now might be her inclusion in CMT’s Next Women of Country, Class of 2021!
With Canadian stars MacKenzie Porter and Tenille Arts, as well as talented artists like Ashland Craft and Reyna Roberts, Sacha finds herself in great company on the list – and the exposure and opportunity for more people to hear her music in Ontario, across Canada, and in the United States (and beyond) is an outstanding step forward.
In 2018 we saw Sacha on stage at Boots & Hearts and said, “Her passion and commitment to her craft and to having a good time on stage brought her this far and are only going to take her further.” She has certainly continued her commitment with the passion she showed that day, and then some. We also noted that she “was confident and brought everything she had and made a strong case for us to see her again at Boots, and on a lot of other stages in the near future.” And we stand by that statement.
From Warkworth, Ontario to CMT, the CBC, ET Canada, festival stages, and beyond, Sacha Visagie is clearly on her way to achieving the goals she’s set for herself and showing everyone that she’s got all of the talent she needs to match the commitment and passion that we’ve been praising all along.
We’re looking forward to seeing where Sacha goes next, what she writes and records and releases, and just how high she’s going to fly. She’s been working hard for years, and now, in 2021, it’s time for all of us to celebrate her and be ready for more!
Stay up to date with Sacha’s new music news, behind-the-scenes action, photos, videos, upcoming schedule, and more on her website and social media channels!
