Etobicoke’s Premiere hard rock hot spot The Rock Pile, held another magical musical event on Oct. 19th
Dedicated Esther Widmann fans filled the Rockpile, coming from as far away as Alberta,  to catch her headlining performance.
This showcase was filled with non stop creativity & a little something for the entire family.
Kicking off the stellar production by Sean Patrick Armstrong of Ghost In The Machine, was non other than Toronto’s own singer, song-writer, Vincent VL Effects & Mack Amps Guitar Amplifier Endorsee Josh Gordon.Josh brought an incredibly deep and rich experience to the stage with a hint of heavy rock infused blues featuring his snazzy jazzy drumming extraordinaire Chris Chiarelli and special guest bassist, Pop Cherry’s sexy Dave Bachelor.  Josh Gordon’s high voltage lit the stage a blaze with cover after cover of his musical influences like Stevie Ray Vaughn’s ‘Pride and Joy’ into ZZ Top’s ‘Cheap Sunglasses’ right into Jeff Healey’s ‘While My Guitar Gently Weeps.’  High octane fuel kicked in as they perfected ‘Cocaine’ by Eric Clapton & ‘Crossroads’ by Stevie Ray Vaughn.

Vinyl Ambush energized the room with their stupendous originals featuring 15-year-old bassist Corwin Bjelic, 19-year-old drummer Jack Laing, 19-year-old guitarist Pedro Alvarado, 18-year-old lead guitarist Anthony Borges Caetano & acclaimed 17-year-old front woman Belle Matthews, as they exploded their punky metal uniqueness.   Cranking out their ‘Curiosity,’ unleashing ‘Alien’ & ‘ Hollywood Casualties.’
Blending in a brand new song ‘Occupation,’ then introducing their most popular piece,  ‘Let It Rain’ (which appeared on Dark Matter TV on the Space Channel in 2017), just letting er rip with hit after hit including my fave, ‘Toxic’ right into the newest song “Space Head.’  Grab their autographs soon as these kids are destined for stardom. Beyond Savage are new on the Toronto music scene, but not for long.
They exploded and got you revved and ready to receive their tasty talents.   Bassist Dan Carret mixed in with the bottom end drumming sensation Dre Giroux and amalgamated with Eddie Savage in on guitar, producing fantabulous harmonies on their infectious covers and engaging originals.  Follow them at https://m.facebook.com/beyondsavageband
Headliners, Esther Widmann, musically gifted guitarist Trev Kill (front-man for Sugar Snap and Negative Earth) and  the deep hard and heavy turbocharged, drumming educative force, Brent Thommy Thunders Gerliz, didn’t disappoint.  They performed a more in-depth set compared to her brief showcase on the sold out Oct. 7th Killer Dwarfs show.Chalked full of colorful originals including her A Capella intro, her synth metal trio nailed it!Esther released a list of songs, that will be solidified onto her 1st album in 2018-‘Crumble,’  ‘Die Today,’ ‘All To Myself,’ ‘Bury You,’ ‘Better Than Me,’ ‘Bring It On,’  ‘Let It Go’ and fantastic covers of Holly McNarland’s Numb, Nine Inch Nails Closer, Jefferson Airplane’s White Rabbit & Placebo’s Running Up That Hill.A beautiful retro expression oozed from the engaging heart of Esther Widmann as she bared her soul.  Truly was a powerful encore as she was left alone, as band mates exited the stage to let her shine.  She carved out an intimate version of London Grammar’s hit –   ‘If You Wait.’  Twas a truly magical event, jammed full of inspiration & motivational moments.   Stay tuned at www.estherwidmann.com
