Award-winning Band LOVERBOY Bring Their Big Rock Sound to the Living Arts Centre-

Mississauga, ON: On September 11, 2019, Loverboy perform live in concert at 8:00PM in the Living Arts Centre’s Hammerson Hall.

With their trademark leather pants, bandanas, big rock sound and high-energy live shows, Loverboy has sold more than 10 million albums, earning four multi-platinum plaques. Their string of hits include arena rock staples like “Lovin’ Every Minute of It,” “This Could Be the Night,” “Hot Girls in Love,” “Turn Me Loose” and many more crowd favourites. More recently, Loverboy has released a trio of singles. These include 2016’s “Hurtin,” and “Some Like It Hot,” as well as 2017’s “Stop the Rain.”

For more than 30 years, Loverboy has been “Working for the Weekend” (and on weekends), delighting audiences around the world since forming in 1978. Throughout their careers, Loverboy has achieved a record-breaking six JUNO Awards, received Columbia Records’ Crystal Globe Award, and were inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame at the 2009 JUNO Awards.

“When we do live shows these days, I notice the songs have come to a better place,” says lead singer, Reno. “We’re playing them a little differently, but the catalyst is still the same. We live these songs—they’re part of our DNA, and they’re part of a lot of people’s DNA. They send us a lot of love and we end up loving them back, so it’s just a big love-fest, really.”

“…a little nostalgia, some questionable fashion choices and a whole heap of rock hits
from the 80s…Together, they [deliver] incredibly tight and muscular takes on songs that have glutted classic-rock radio since they first arrived in the early throes of the ’80s” –
Wausau Pilot & Review

“…the band played like
their live’s depended on it as frontman Mike Reno worked his trademark headband into a dripping sweat and the crowd into a frenzy.” –
