What’s Next for Live Music? New Initiatives & Support for the Live Industry
TUES MAR 16 at 4 PM EST (Toronto Time). Speakers: Cory Crossman (City of London Music Office)
Tyson Boyd (ConcertWorks / Starlite Room), with HOST: Darryl Hurs (Indie Week / CD Baby)
It is the one-year mark since covid-19 shutdown live music in Canada. Forward-thinking leaders share their insights on what’s next for live music. What ideas and support are being implemented for venues, artists, and live industry workers?
Also, Indie Week Canada has been doing the Indie Weekly every Tuesday for some time now – the upcoming one will be an important one not to miss. Municipalities are boosting live music programs and more funding has just been announced through the federal government and the Ontario government. Darryl Hurs, will be speaking with Cory Crossman (city of London Ontario Music Office) Tyson Boyd (ConcertWorks, Edmonton) and we are very honored to be able to have Erin Benjamin from Canadian Live Music Association join us on our call. Erin and her staff have been monumental in lobbying the government and informing both the music community and the politicians about the impact and loss there has been on Canada’s music industry. This will be a session not to miss. TUES MAR 16 at 4 PM EST (Toronto Time)
