Lukas Rossi’s WiCKed WEDnesDAY!
Lukas Rossi performs his 90th stageit.com show and honorably, I get to attend my 7th show in a row.
Songwriting is a gift that Lukas excels at, each song growing stronger and deeper than the last. Lukas’s talents as an entertainer has spanned a colorful quarter of a century, 27 yrs to be exact. Lukas’s lyrical content is extemely addictive and oh so arousingly inflammatory with wording and presentations that are oh so emotionally sensitive for me. The last 2 shows, waterworks were non stop, as I felt his hurt more than ever before and I cried with every passionate original he displayed. After all, music is supposed to be relatable and be able to reach into the hearts and minds of its listeners, and wow, that it did. Lukas writes honestly from the depths of his soul with the daily goal of making his fans happy in various genres that he excels at, helping his peeps heal with his addictive slow rock, pop, ballads, hard and heavy rock delights that he encompasses. Rossi’s diverse vocal flavor is certainly 1 of his outstanding features and will leave you inspired and in the rock n roll frame of mind with his flawless performances on guitar coupled with his emotive vocals that totally creates a sense of epicness mixed with his beautiful balanced harmony. He has produced a never-ending catalog of material that has spawned from his upbringing in my old stomping grounds of Jane and Lawrence in the West end of Toronto and how he found solace in music and truly I thank you dear Lukas, for never stopping the magical music and for always creating, reinventing, molding yourself and your styles into your next brilliant creation.
I am constantly in awe of Lukas’s infectious sounds and confidence that stems from first hand life experiences. Performance opportunities and collaboration projects over the years, allowed him to work with and share stages with famous bands and musicians including Papa Roach, I Mother, Tea Party, Edwin, Big Wreck, The Philosopher Kings, Prozac, Neil Sanderson, Three Days Grace, Tommy Lee, John D Davis, Dave Buckner, Marcos Curiel, Stereo Satellite, Supernova (Gilby Clarke, Jason Newsted), Stars Down, Switchblade Glory, Halo Method, Peter Jackson, Micah, Sunnie Days, Matty Shreds, Rise Electric, and Cleavage, as well as Rush’s guitarist, Alex Lifeson, and his list goes on for miles. I guess what I appreciate the most is his ability to be honest, soulful, wickedly raw and so prolific, he campaigns great positive insights of a strength in numbers both inside life and music.
Congrats on having the energy to have various irons in the fire at the same time, Lukas Rossi, continue to proclaim your passion and your love for your legions of fans around this planet. Thank you for striving to write music that truly affects others and makes a difference in the world!
