Marshall Dane Entertains!

November 11, 2019 Live Music No Comments

Spoons, Lee Aaron, Darby Mills, Burton Cummings, Jim Cuddy, Crystal Shawanda, Fred Penner, Royal Wood, Triumph, Geddy Lee and Marshall Dane, what do they all have in common you ask? Well, they are acts I adore, as well, for those who follow Canada’s music scene few may stop at that last name with a cause to pause, but make no mistake Marshall Dane’s name belongs on this list of iconic artists, as the aforementioned names have or continue to make their mark upon our music scene.

With 3 outstanding albums under his belt, 5 Country Music Association of Ontario – CMAO Nominations, currently 2 songs Back In Town, and the Out Crowd recently released and actively climbing the charts across Canada, after a decade on the scene, Marshall is just getting started. Fresh off the heels of performing in Nunavut and Greenland as well as a summer filled with performances alongside the likes of Jim Cuddy and George Canyon, Indie Rocker Marshall Dane is back on the road touring across Canada, independently visiting Radio Stations along his path.

Marshall brought his full band and stupendous sound to the Peel Region inside the entertainment restaurant hot spot known as Brampton’s Spot 1 Grill and Music Hall. His energy warmed you up as he dug into his extensive catalog, letting y’all know he loves to Stay Up Late, talk about his Motorcycle and One of These Days Marshall Dane will wear that crown of country music as he is the next music icon on the horizon. Marshall melted many a heart, having the ladies wishing to be his Forever Girl or even his Sure Thing, and It’s A Good Life watching Marshall enjoy Living It Up with success. Engaging us with 1 of my favorites, Alcohol Abuse and bam the sea of line dancers crowded the dance floor. I adore his infectious sound filled with one hell of a hypnotic vocal powerhouse blended in with his nonstop acro hair flips, he sure is a breath of fresh air. This up close and personal showcase mesmerized us with his seductive and explosive stage presence, letting us know he recently made a video for Body Language, so stay tuned for that! He ripped into a stellar Keith Urban cover Somebody Like You grinding in briefly to Eye of the Tiger and back again. Nearing the end of the magical night we let him Take It Home sharing how grateful he was to perform for us.

Marshall brought tears to my eyes when he let the audience engage their pipes with him, on a spirited version of Jimmie Davis and Charles Mitchell’s hit, You Are My Sunshine, giving us plenty of goosebumps once again. So in awe, as we watched him work up a sweat during his meaty and textured sets. Each and every Marshall Dane show inspires your soul, encourages the mind. Thanks for nailing another one of a kind and arousing presentation Marshall and for leaving us your melodies that seeped deep into our brains, a sheer work of genius. Never idle on stage with a huge smile, he mentioned how pleased he was that you like My Country Song. What an eye-popping and highly entertaining evening as he completed his workout with my fave hit, the infectious country blend Love and Alcohol.
